THE HORSESHOE HUMMER STORY
Horseshoe Hummer Tours operates just one hour north of Toronto, close to Barrie, Ontario, under an exclusive agreement with the County of Simcoe. Tours start at Carriage Hills Resort. From here it’s a short ride to the trails in Simcoe County Forest, the largest and one of the most productive municipal forests in Ontario, totaling over 32,000 acres!
Horseshoe Hummer Tours operates on the Barr Tract, a section of forest that includes rugged terrain and both natural and man-made obstacles, washouts and hill climbs. You will discover evidence of early settlers in the area and ever-changing scenery. Whatever the reason, whatever the season, you are sure to have a blast on a Horseshoe Hummer Tour!
Horseshoe Hummer Tours welcomed brand new owners in 2018: Isaac Weinert and Mia Fothergill. Isaac grew up in nearby Coldwater, and developed a deep passion for trucks and off-roading throughout his childhood. Isaac met Mia (who is originally from the UK) while working in Guest Services at Sunshine Village Ski Resort in Banff, Alberta, and they spent a year travelling and working in New Zealand in a campervan, before moving to Alberta for work.
Several years and two gorgeous daughters later, when the opportunity to buy Horseshoe Hummer Tours came up, back in the area they know so well and love so much, it was too tempting an offer to pass up! This year, your tours could be driven by Isaac, his brother Reilly or his dad Imo – who all have impressive off-roading credentials – and we hope to make your adventure both exciting and memorable. We can’t wait to meet you!
