- What should I bring and wear?
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little (or a lot!) wet or dirty, depending on trail conditions. You are off-roading after all! Sandals and heels are not recommended.
- How old do children have to be to go on a Hummer tour?
Children over the age of 8 can ride with no restrictions. For those under 8 years old who weigh over 40lbs, a booster seat can be provided if you give us notice ahead of time. If you would like to bring children under 40lbs, you may bring your own car seat for them (which you will be required to fit yourself). Bear in mind the ride can be rather bumpy though, so we generally recommend a minimum age limit of 5.
- Will it be scary or bumpy?
We pride ourselves on a very exciting but very safe tour, and yes, you will move about quite a bit! For this reason, this tour is not recommended for people with back/neck injuries, pregnant women, or very young children.
- Is the Hummer wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, the Hummer cannot accommodate wheelchairs. However, we have had many people with a wide variety of disabilities who have been on our tour and loved it; we are very happy to provide assistance to get in/out of the vehicle should you require it. Please feel welcome to call ahead if you have any concerns prior to your tour and we can discuss how we can help you in your own personal circumstances.
- When do Hummer tours run?
Tours run Thursdays through Sunday, plus holidays, at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., from May to October. Additional tour times can be scheduled to accommodate larger groups – if the tour time you’re looking for is full, please call us on 705-999-0905 to find out if we can fit you in at another convenient time!
- Where do we go for the Hummer tour?
Horseshoe Hummer tours leave from the Carriage Hills Resort, located at 90 Highland Drive, Oro Medonte. Follow the signs to the Carriage Hills check-in desk from Highlands Drive. Please plan to arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour.
- Can I drive?
Sorry, but no. The H1 Hummer is a magnificent beast, but she takes some practice to learn to negotiate the trails! Relax and just let our expert drivers show you what she can do.
- What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel up to 48 hours before your tour, you can have a full refund. Within 48 hours, we will provide you with ‘Mud Cheque,’ so you can reschedule your tour for a more convenient time. However, if exceptional circumstances arise, please call us and we’ll do our best to work something out for you.
